(Written for and inspired by all the great poets out there)
I am here
Somewhere I am not now
Or have ever been
Yet so often with emotions
I have felt
Images are so strong
They suck me in
Larger than life itself
Or so it seems
Leaning forward with anticipation
Squeezing every drop
Out of this situation
Colors of all kinds
Bright and dark
But each creates in me
Its own special and unique spark
I am here
Placed like a pawn
On the board of your choosing
Led by the nose
And forced to drink
My thirst quenched
As I wait my turn
Sitting here on the proverbial bench
Put me in coach
I got this
Endless ideas
They pour through my fingers
As I squeeze my fist
To be freed
They beg and insist
Running across the floor
I watch as they
Bend and twist
Taking forms
I could not predict
This process encouraged
I thank you for this
(Thank you for reading)

Beautiful…. It made my soul smile…
Very nice.
‘Proverbial Bench’ and the surrealistic representation of ideas were really awesome!
Wonderful description of the creative processes! 🙂
Thanks for sharing with me the inspiration behind this piece. You have a beautiful, deep, and inspiring mind. I know you think that I am bias, but it doesn’t negate the fact that it’s true.
This is so true and so well written. Thank you!

So kool the ways the words turned blue as I read them. Great poem too, very visual, great word choices. Love your voice; very smooth. Great stuff. And they suck us in … they can, if we let them. Enjoyed much.

A intricate web of words created with the doubts beautifully..but lastly glad that it poured in the necessary courage!

Loved the chess comparison, great poem 🙂
Wonderful imagery here. Amazing how we all seem to view our lives so differently and yet, we are all the same, really.
Lovely prose! Enjoy the rally.
A mass of images here for this one. Excellently written. I know the feel to proverbial benches…!!
simply loved it…
“Running across the floor
I watch as they
Bend and twist
Taking forms
I could not predict”
Amazing what happens when we are left to ourselves left in our own heads.. I know I am viewing this with my own filters.. but I know that I tend to have a running mind when i am left to my own design and explanation and understanding of things..
utterly AWESOME

no feeling is without cause,
Shoeless
Glad that “I am here” now, very beautiful.
Moving piece of writing…thanks for sharing this.
Awesome work! I love the words you’ve chosen… We all learn all the time in life and experience and words of others can prove so helpful in this process! 😀
We are all here so we cannot be there.
We have all taken the paths that put us in situations.
Making the most and doing our best,
Be creative and helpful

To not know somebody and for you to captivate all my feelings in your poem is breathtaking. This is was an amazing poem. The flow was seamless.
Count me as another voice to encourage your process, Black Swan. Seizing upon images may not exactly keep us in the present moment, but the deliciousness of them can sometimes actually lure us toward more and more immersion and involvement in the world, in the here and now.
Thank you for this piece that speaks very aptly to my process, as well.
Thanks for sharing this poem!! It really had me thinking, and very inspiring!! I have read it through a few times, and I found that the second time I read it was a different experience to the first time. Seriously.. I just loved it!! Please feel free to share your poetry in the future. I am a Songwriter, and I find poetry is one of my main influences. Thanks again!!

Thank you and thanks for dropping in.
did you mean “lead by the noise” or was it as intended “nose”? either way cool piece.
nose and thanks 🙂
Loved the imagery, there is something about writing that makes us try to determine exactly where we stand or exist and then word it or wax lyrical…..I wrote this a couple of months ago thought you might like to read it
Where words collide
I am there,
in two minds or
somewhere in between the spaces.
Dont try and find me,
I am in
the words I dont say,
the sentences left unsaid,
the dream untold,
the unmade bed
I am there for a while.
I am with the lyrics i should have written,
the poem on a scrap of paper
that remains unfinished,
dwelling on reflections,
deceptions,
memories,
i am between,
those places .
it doesnt have a true poetic form and it isn’t finished….but it is similar…..keep writing..you have a seamless form beautiful to read aloud…deb

While it had character it would have been better if it had not of been “prose poetry.”
Dude, well written. Kuuuuuuudose Brother. Funny, I write alot, but I “HATE” reading. But this one kept me anticipating every following line. Love it!
And did I mention, love the layout and the music. New Wave And Industrial New, New Wave, lol, what ever that genre may be is the same stuff I like. Maybe you could give me some pointers how to get my page flowin somewhat alright. Ending– Check out a song called Kathy’s Song, remixed by VNV Nation. B-E-A-Utiful! Poems, the lyrical interpretation of our soul! Keep on writing man!
