Poem-In the midst

In the midst

Of thousands of bubbles

One holds your key

Which one has it

And can extinguish

Your troubles

You are desperate

Grabbing frantically

They burst in your grasp

Producing nothing

But a unsatisfying

Residue on your fingers

That forever last

That you failed

It lingers as proof

Your hands strike

Like vipers as you spin

In a circle

The down pour of bubbles

Never ends

A single drop

Falls from each popped

As your hands become a blur

And your spin intensifies

It lifts you from the ground

Splattering all that surrounds

With your desperation

Those closest to you

Stand soaked in this sensation

  1. As your hands become a blur

    And your spin intensifies

It lifts you from the ground

    Splattering all that surrounds

    what great language!

  2. we very much affect people around us in someway as we are circumvented by problems, in many scenarios both the closest and we ourselves are in the midst of these so delicate bubbles, which in haste burst to our worst nightmares. Nice imagery!

  3. This is quite intense and leads me to the that place where we discover futility when we choose not to pay attention to the gift of our spirit. Very creative word play in poetic form!

  4. I like the sentiment here. Certainly very relatable for most of us, I’m sure.

There’s a little confusion somewhere between lines 11-15, it seems. Maybe switch lines 14 & 15?

Some great imagery created. Well done!

    • Thank you that was very kind. I would never mind something like this when I am given credit. Thanks for letting me know also. Have a great weekend.
