(written a very long time ago)
Walking down a darkened street
Looking for love from who I meet
When I saw loneliness in your eyes
We try to talk but we can’t speak
From all the lies and the secrets we keep
If only we could you might be the one
Lost in these feelings
I thought they had died
Lost in these feelings
Buried alive
Now I see that time has passed
And you have gone by
But can’t forget the look
That you had in your eyes
Another day older
As the wind blows colder
Don’t know where I’m going
Don’t care where I’ve been
Good poem!
sounds like lyrics for a melancholic guitar song :)thanks for sharing.
ummm yeah it was lyrics 🙂
Nicely done. A bit whistful and sad; and, isn’t that the truth that sometimes we do feel buried alive in our feelings. Something we can all relate to.
Tons of twists and turns. Quite brooding. My potluck: http://verseinanutshell.wordpress.com/2011/05/17/outline/

Powerful descriptions and illustrations of emotions. Very nice poem.
Nice. Simple with a melancholic rhythm. Good job.
Beautifully melancholic poem.
Lovely, swan. Truly notes on the human condition. I particularly like this line: ‘If only we could you might be the one’ and the previous lines, which speak to people’s inability to take a chance and communicate with one another out of fear, or hiding, or lies.

Good writing. Sad and whimsical. Thanks for the visit to me.
I know what it is like not knowing and NOT CARING where you were and were you´re going… perhaps its better that way.

Nice, Swan! First actual poem I’ve read by you. Are you the person in this poem? Whoever it was, was not in a good place. Well-written, strongly conveys the feeling of loss and isolation, the passage of time……………….
A very sad song indeed. Well written!
